Yahoo has released the Yahoo Sports App for the Apple TV 4. With various streaming services offering a plethora of content, including new movies and shows, Yahoo and Apple have given you one more very good reason to consider cutting the cord.

The standout feature of this app is its personalized highlights feature. During setup, you select your favorite teams from MLB, NBA, NHL, PGA and various soccer leagues from around the globe. The app then creates a customized playlist of news and highlights featuring those teams. It also brings its signature coverage and analysis, featuring the Yahoo Sports editorial team, including The Vertical with Woj, Sports Dash, and Power Rankings. Also included in the app is Yahoo's full arsenal of live streaming content, such as MLB.TV's Free Game of the Day and NHL's Live Stream of the Day.

When Apple released the Apple TV 4 with its ability to run third party apps, their message was clear: internet TV is not only here, it's the future. With Apple TV 4's growing selection of apps, the justifications for paying hefty cable bills just got razor thin.
